E-commerce Site Speed Rankings – November 2025
In November 2025, Gaprise, a Tokyo-based digital business support SaaS company, has unveiled the latest rankings focused on the load speed of e-commerce websites. This analysis reveals insights not only into which sites are leading the pack but also on how they’re achieving and maintaining high performance.
Overview of the Survey
The analysis was conducted using data from November 2025, processed by Gaprise. The focus was on the top 300 companies listed in the 83rd edition of the Catalog Shopping Ranking, specifically targeting those with monthly traffic exceeding 100,000 visitors. The speed assessment utilized Google’s Chrome User Experience Report to compare Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) by domain on mobile devices over 4G connections.
What is LCP?
LCP, or Largest Contentful Paint, is a crucial metric determined by Google as part of Core Web Vitals. It measures how long it takes for the largest content element on a web page, typically an image or large text, to load after the page starts. Ideally, an LCP score below 2.5 seconds indicates a positive user experience. Conversely, an LCP exceeding 4 seconds is detrimental. According to case studies, improvements can see LCP scores dropping to under 1 second.
Key Findings from the Rankings
In our latest ranking, it's noteworthy that all top 10 sites have remarkably achieved an LCP of below 1.1 seconds. Notable mentions include
MURAUCHI.com,
AmiAmi,
BAYCREW’S STORE, and
Chacott, all of which have surpassed the 1.0-second mark, optimizing their speed performance significantly.
Among 272 surveyed sites, nearly 75.3% (204 sites) recorded LCP scores within the 2.5-second threshold, showcasing a widespread acknowledgment across the e-commerce sector of the need for improved site speed.
The recent November rankings indicated a substantial rise in food delivery and general mall sites—
Lifenet Super accelerated from 14th place to the top 5, while
Earth’s Guardian and
Amazon climbed 71 and 27 ranks respectively. This surge likely corresponds to the busy holiday shopping season ahead, prompting site owners to enhance performance to mitigate loading issues.
The New Core Web Vital: INP
This month’s top sites also excelled in the newly introduced metric, INP (Input Delay). Sites like
MURAUCHI.com not only registered excellent LCP scores but also kept INP metrics favorable. The synchronization of site speed and user interactivity has become a stronghold for these companies. INP would measure how responsive a webpage is to user actions. By integrating evaluations of LCP and INP, a comprehensive performance assessment can be achieved. Companies aiming for performance improvements are encouraged to consider all Core Web Vitals metrics to devise effective strategies.
Sustained improvements reported can often be traced back to effective JavaScript optimization, efficient event handling, and enhanced rendering performance.
The focus on both LCP and INP highlights the importance of ongoing advancements and technological integrations in optimizing user experiences across these platforms.
