Introducing Organic Cuisine: New Bento Sale by Watami at Bio c' Bon

Watami, Inc., headquartered in Ota City, Tokyo, is set to debut a new line of bento meals made with organic ingredients, starting November 19, 2025. This initiative will be available at 20 Bio c' Bon locations across Japan.

Bio c' Bon, a supermarket chain originating from Paris, focuses on making organic products part of daily life. They offer a diverse selection, including organic vegetables, imported goods from Europe, and bulk foods like dried fruits and nuts through their online store and physical stores in Tokyo and Kanagawa.

The development of these new bento meals was driven by a shared commitment to organic farming between Watami and Bio c' Bon, aligning their visions for providing safe, healthy, and delicious food options. Utilizing resources from the Watami group, these bento meals have been crafted with meticulous attention to detail, incorporating farm-fresh organic produce directly sourced from Watami Farm.

The chicken is marinated in salt koji for a rich, mellow flavor before being fried to perfection. It comes with organic Beniharuka sweet potatoes and sweet vinegar-pickled burdock from Watami Farm.
Price: 880 yen (excl. tax)

2. Rikuzentakata Salmon Belly Miso Grilled Bento
Utilizing the fatty belly portion from farm-raised salmon in Rikuzentakata, Iwate Prefecture, this bento is marinated in Saikyo miso for 48 hours and grilled to enhance its rich flavor. It also includes sweet vinegar-pickled burdock from Watami Farm.
Price: 980 yen (excl. tax)

Each bento is made using organic ingredients from Hokkaido, cultivated by the Watami group's Toima Green Life, showcasing a complete transparency in sourcing for these meals.

Preview Event: Watami Farm Fair

Before the official launch of the bento, Watami will host a Watami Farm Fair on November 7-8 at the Bio c' Bon Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. store.
During this event, fresh organic produce such as lettuce, cabbage, and sweet potatoes from Watami Farm will be available, alongside processed goods like black garlic made with their own organically grown garlic and bottled burdock tea.
Farm staff will attend to share insights about the products from a producer's perspective.
Additionally, the new bento made with organic ingredients will be available for pre-sale, allowing attendees to experience the quality and flavor firsthand before the official release.
