Co-Diagnostics Takes Part in Bangkok Workshop for TB Diagnostics Collaboration

Co-Diagnostics, Inc., a leading molecular diagnostics firm, has announced its participation as a manufacturer partner in the Global Implementation Workshop on Near Point of Care (NPOC) Tuberculosis (TB) Diagnostics, taking place from July 8 to 10, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand. This important workshop is organized by the Stop TB Partnership and the Global Fund and aims to enhance national tuberculosis programs by integrating the latest recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO).

The workshop gathers experts from diverse sectors, including national TB programs, research organizations, donor agencies, and technical partners from 21 different countries. The primary goal is to foster knowledge sharing in implementing NPOC diagnostics effectively. These interactions will help translate the new WHO guidelines into actionable national policies and plans, thus supporting countries' efforts in acquiring Global Fund GC8 financing for TB-related initiatives.

UNOPS, the United Nations Office for Project Services, facilitates this workshop to bolster the infrastructure and project management necessary for humanitarian and development projects worldwide. Delegates participating will gain practical experience with the Co-Dx™ PCR platform and the Co-Dx PCR MTB test, designed specifically to meet the needs of decentralized testing environments. The platform facilitates seamless integration of sample collection, preparation, amplification, and detection—all within a single workflow, thus catering to the evolving landscape of global TB diagnostics.

Recent WHO guidance emphasizes the pressing need for accessible TB testing methods, especially using non-invasive sampling techniques like tongue swabs, which are ideal for patients unable to produce sputum samples. The Co-Dx PCR platform is tailored to support this shift by ensuring timely and efficient molecular diagnostics scalable across various healthcare settings.

Co-Diagnostics stands at the forefront of innovation in molecular diagnostics, empowering healthcare providers with advanced tools to combat diseases like TB. Their proprietary technologies rely on the detection and analysis of nucleic acid molecules (both DNA and RNA), paving the way for highly specific tests that can provide vital health insights.

As part of their expansion strategy, Co-Diagnostics continues to engage in discussions about best practices and effective strategies for TB diagnostics with international stakeholders. This aligns with their commitment to public health and proactive responses to infectious diseases globally.

As the healthcare landscape evolves, the significance of workshops like this cannot be overstated. They not only provide an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange but also emphasize the importance of collaboration among various entities in the fight against TB.

In response to the growing global health issues, Co-Diagnostics is optimistic about future opportunities to support TB testing initiatives. Looking ahead, they remain committed to enhancing their test offerings and ensuring that advanced diagnostics are accessible wherever they are needed most. The participation in Bangkok is just one of the many steps the company is taking towards making a significant impact in the field of molecular diagnostics and public health.
