Experience the Joy of Japanese Rice Culture at Plenus
On October 3rd, starting at 7 PM, Plenus Inc., known for its popular takeaway bento service ‘Hotto Motto,’ dining restaurant ‘Yayoiken,’ shabu-shabu and authentic dim sum restaurant ‘MK Restaurant,’ as well as ramen shop ‘KAYAVA,’ is hosting a special rice workshop designed exclusively for adults at their Kayabacho office in Tokyo.
This event is part of Plenus’s commitment to promoting the rich heritage of Japanese rice culture through their initiative called ‘Komeiku’ (rice education), which aims to pass on the love for rice to the next generation. The ‘Rice Workshop’ has gained remarkable popularity since its inception in 2019, and this evening session presents a fantastic opportunity for adults to engage in a hands-on rice tasting experience.
Event Details: The Rice Workshop
The workshop will feature renowned agricultural journalist Tani Riri as the instructor. Attendees will not only learn about the latest rice trends and foundational knowledge but also have the chance to sample four different varieties of rice. This interactive experience will allow participants to appreciate the differences in texture, aroma, and sweetness among the rice types while exploring their compatibility with salt and dashi (broth). By utilizing all five senses, attendees will surely find joy in expanding their daily rice choices.
Participants can conveniently join after work or school, with the event scheduled for 7 PM. We invite you to take part in this enriching experience!
