New Board Members Manny Khoshbin and Ross Mitchell Join The Autism Community in Action

The Autism Community in Action Welcomes New Leadership

The Autism Community in Action (TACA), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families affected by autism, is thrilled to announce the recent addition of Manny Khoshbin and Ross Mitchell to its Board of Directors. This promising development comes as part of TACA's ongoing commitment to enhancing educational resources and support for families navigating the challenges associated with autism.

A Commitment to Advocacy

Manny Khoshbin and Ross Mitchell have long been advocates for TACA’s mission. Both have previously served as TACA Ambassadors, contributing their expertise and passion to promote the cause. Lisa Ackerman, co-founder and Executive Director of TACA, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “For many years, Manny and Ross have been deeply committed advocates for TACA and the families we serve. We are honored to welcome them to our Board of Directors as we continue to expand our national reach and strengthen organizational capacity.”

Khoshbin has an impressive entrepreneurial background, starting his first business at 18. Over the years, he founded multiple enterprises, including a real estate and mortgage company. With a portfolio that exceeds 1.5 million square feet of commercial real estate across six states, Khoshbin’s innovative spirit and dedication to community help strengthen TACA’s strategic growth and sustainability.

Mitchell, who serves as the President and Founder of Dunbar Real Estate Investment Management, brings over a decade of experience to the board. His firm, established in 2011, operates from several locations, including El Segundo, California. With a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California (USC), he remains actively involved at USC, mentoring graduate students and previously serving on the Alumni Board of the USC School of Policy, Planning and Development. His governance and leadership expertise will be invaluable to TACA as it continues to grow.

Embracing Innovation

As TACA expands its outreach, it remains focused on responsibly integrating innovative solutions, including the ethical use of artificial intelligence. By harnessing such technologies, TACA aims to broaden access to reliable educational content and enhance family engagement while maintaining its core mission of supporting individuals with autism.

Founded in 2000, The Autism Community in Action has emerged as a vital resource for families affected by autism, assisting over 61,000 families across the nation. They offer free educational programs, host online support groups, and hold the annual National Autism Conference, providing a platform for families to connect and learn from one another.

As the organization continues to evolve and adapt to meet the needs of the autism community, the appointments of Khoshbin and Mitchell signify a bright future filled with hope and innovative approaches to education and support for families navigating the autism journey.
