In July 2025, Yolo Technology Corporation, based in Minato, Tokyo, released its report detailing the registration trends for new companies and job seekers in Japan through the global job platform Bossjob. As foreign talent utilization becomes more widespread, the job categories are diversifying. The IT sector continues to show strong recruitment needs; however, there is also a notable increase in job opportunities across various fields such as sales, management, administration, and creative positions. Similarly, job seekers are registering with interests spanning IT, administration, light labor, manufacturing, education, translation, and agriculture.

Company Registrations: IT Dominance but Growing Diversity


Among the new companies registered on Bossjob in July, the information and communication (IT) sector accounted for 46.3%, maintaining its status as the leading industry, albeit slightly down from 49.2% in June. Interestingly, both the machinery and trade sectors represent 7.4% each, indicating an increase in the manufacturing and trading sectors, which had not been observed in June. Additionally, a substantial number of service industries, including hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, security, and logistics, are emerging as significant players, highlighting a trend of foreign talent integration across a variety of sectors.

Other roles have seen more balanced representation with sales (11.8%), management (9.8%), creative jobs (7.8%), and administrative positions (7.8%) marking a shift towards growing diversity in job offerings. Moreover, professional roles in consulting, marketing, finance, human resources, public relations, and quality control also continue to show steady demand.

These roles have displayed stable popularity. The report also highlights continued interest in tourism and hospitality (8.3%), manufacturing (5.0%), creative fields (4.8%), and education (3.5%), outlining a diverse range of job seekers keen to explore various sectors.
