Average Hourly Wage Trends in Japan
According to the latest report released by Frog Corporation, specializing in job market big data analysis, the average hourly wage for part-time positions across Japan reached
1,320 yen in August 2025. This marks an increase of
20 yen from the previous month and
51 yen from the same period last year.

The job market landscape is dynamic. In August, 524,573 job openings for part-time and temporary positions were recorded. The observations in this report are based on data collected from popular job platforms such as ‘Mynavi Baito’, ‘Baitoru’, and ‘e-Aidem’ processed through Frog's proprietary HRog Chart tool.
