Magna Wireless Launches AU-700W Local 5G Device
Magna Wireless Corporation, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has made significant strides in communication technology by introducing its latest innovation: the AU-700W, a local 5G device supporting Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN). This development is a result of a collaborative research project with the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute (Tokyo Institute of Technology) as part of the 2024 Cloud-Integrated 5G, IoT, and Robotics Product Development Initiative.
The AU-700W stands out for its incorporation of Magna Wireless's proprietary baseband semiconductor, which enables enhanced communication features tailored for modern industrial applications. Specifically, the device boasts the ability to maintain jitter-free communication with latency fluctuations reduced to below 1 microsecond. This level of reliability is essential for operations that demand high precision and synchronization, such as automated controls and real-time remote operations.
Through joint research leveraging Tokyo Institute's 5G testing facility, the collaboration successfully identified and addressed latency variance and timing synchronization accuracy present in existing 5G systems. By implementing a jitterless design, the AU-700W achieves both high precision and trustworthiness, addressing key challenges within the industry.
Moreover, the adoption of in-house semiconductor technology contributes not only to guaranteed delay communication but also facilitates a compact and lightweight design alongside energy efficiency. This
