This event marks the fourth installation of the DROP FESTIVAL, originally held in Miyazaki in 2022, and this year, it brings the excitement to Karatsu City, SAGA Prefecture. This leap from one of Kyushu's best surfing spots to another, known to be the birthplace of surfing in the region, emphasizes the festival's unique spirit of celebration.

KARATSU DROP FESTIVAL 2025 will take place on:
Date: September 27 (Saturday) & September 28 (Sunday), 2025
Venue: Niji no Matsubara Seaside East Beach, Karatsu, SAGA (Higashi Karatsu 4-chome)
* Time: Doors open at 11:00 AM, Show starts at 12:00 PM, finishes at 9:00 PM on September 27 and 8:00 PM on September 28.

The event is organized by the Karatsu Drop Festival Executive Committee, a coalition of organizations including GAKUON, VILLAGE INC., and local partners supporting this vibrant gathering.
