Collaboration Between TableCheck and IVRy for AI-driven Restaurant Services
In a significant move for the restaurant industry, TableCheck, a premier restaurant tech company based in Tokyo, has announced a partnership with IVRy, a provider of interactive voice AI SaaS. Starting from July 24, 2025, restaurants using TableCheck will be able to automate phone interactions through AI, facilitating reservations, modifications, and cancellations around the clock, effortlessly reducing staff workload and allowing for a greater focus on customer service and food preparation.
Addressing Labor Shortages with AI Technology
As the food and beverage sector grapples with a persistent labor shortage, the need for efficient communication becomes crucial. The burden of managing phone inquiries during peak hours and outside regular business hours can overwhelm restaurant operations. Despite this challenge, the demand for phone reservations remains high, risking potential lost revenues and customer dissatisfaction.
The newly introduced 'AI Phone Reservation Service' enables AI to handle reservation inquiries at any hour, every day of the year. When a customer calls a restaurant, the AI will collect necessary details such as the desired reservation date and number of guests, checking availability in real-time through TableCheck’s platform. If a reservation is feasible, the AI will ask for the customer’s name and confirm the booking. In the event that the requested date and time are unavailable, the AI proposes alternative times, mimicking the flexibility of human response. Upon completion, customers receive an SMS with their reservation details, while restaurants receive real-time notifications to confirm the booking.
Key Features of the Collaboration
1. Around-the-Clock AI Support
The integration provides 24/7 phone support, alleviating pressure during busy hours by allowing AI to manage reservations and changes or cancellations, streamlining operations.
2. Automatic Data Synchronization with TableCheck
Reservations made through IVRy’s system will be automatically registered in TableCheck, enhancing accuracy and operational efficiency.
3. Customizable AI Responses
AI can provide tailored responses through voice, SMS, and can forward necessary calls to staff when required, ensuring precise communication and customer care.
