Huawei Launches Five Aviation Solutions to Enhance Smart Industry Upgrades

Huawei's Innovative Solutions for the Aviation Industry

During the Passenger Terminal Expo 2025, held in Madrid, Huawei presented an ambitious suite of five new aviation solutions designed to advance the smart industry by leveraging emerging technologies. These innovations aim to transform airport operations and significantly improve passenger experiences.

The centerpiece of Huawei's offerings is the Smart Airport Operations Center (SAOC). This state-of-the-art system enhances operational efficiency by providing comprehensive situational awareness across all airport functions. Built on a framework of Total Airport Management (TAM), the SAOC consolidates over 30 operational systems into a unified view. This integration allows for real-time monitoring of operational activities, proactive resource management, timely handling of disruptions, and improved safety protocols—all of which work together to enhance passenger experiences.

In addition to the SAOC, Huawei introduced a sophisticated Perimeter Security System using Fiber Sensing technology. This solution ensures enhanced operational security within airports by utilizing advanced algorithms for intrusion detection, even under challenging weather conditions. By reducing false alarms and ensuring no genuine breach goes unnoticed, this technology elevates the overall security landscape within the aviation sector.

Huawei's Intelligent Digital Airport Platform spearheads efforts to modernize airport operations through cloud computing, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). This platform ensures seamless migration of core services onto the cloud, providing active-active deployment to avoid any data loss. The remarkable speed of recovery from outages has been reduced from one hour to just five minutes, ensuring a 99.99% service availability. Furthermore, a comprehensive data governance framework is established, delivering high-quality data to support intelligent applications. This systematic approach emphasizes the critical role that data plays in the operations of smart airports.

Huawei has also unveiled its Integrated Data Network Solution for the Xinghe Smart Airport. This solution establishes a high-quality, reliable communication network, utilizing Wi-Fi 7 technology to significantly enhance the passenger experience by increasing bandwidth by 20% for VIP users through specialized service segmentation. This exclusive Wi-Fi Shield protects sensitive data during transmission, ensuring a secure communication environment within the airport.

Lastly, the fully connected optical network designed for smart airports marks another significant leap in improving airport communications. By integrating IP with Passive Optical Networks (PON), Huawei has introduced the OptiXstar P892M, a 10G optical network unit available for various installation modes. This facilitates flexible deployment tailored to the unique configurations of different airport environments.

To date, Huawei has successfully partnered with over 210 airports, airlines, and air traffic management authorities worldwide, solidifying its presence as a leader in aviation technology. Each of these solutions combines Huawei's cutting-edge technology with strategic operational insights, aiming to not only improve the efficiency of air travel but also provide an unparalleled experience for passengers around the globe. As the aviation industry continues to evolve, Huawei's commitment to integrating smart technologies will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping the future of air travel.
