Vicuna Air Expands European Operations with New Brussels Flights

Vicuna Air, known for its premium pet transport services, has officially commenced operations in continental Europe with its first flights to Brussels on October 7 and 9. This exciting development makes Brussels a central hub for the airline's operations in Europe, particularly for pet owners traveling with their furry companions.

On these maiden journeys, Vicuna Air successfully transported over 14 pets, including two rabbits who enjoyed the unique experience of traveling in the exclusive “Biscuit Class.” These pets were accompanied by a dedicated Vicuna Concierge, ensuring a comfortable and safe passage for them throughout the flight.

The airline's innovative approach has allowed pets to travel in the cabin alongside their owners or on their own, ensuring they never have to endure the cargo hold. Seven reservations extended beyond Brussels to further destinations, where pets continued their travels by ground transport under the Vicuna Waypoints initiative, connecting through major cities like Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Additional pets joined the return journey from locations as far as Stockholm, showcasing the extensive reach of this new service.

Jamie Everett, founder of Vicuna Air, highlighted the significance of the northern European route, describing it as an active relocation corridor. He noted that pets are increasingly included in these moves, with Brussels positioned conveniently for connections to other major cities like Paris, Amsterdam, and Oslo. The planned schedule for 2027, running until December 5, encompasses key routes between London, New York, and Brussels, with secure ground transportation linking up to five target cities
across Europe. This expansion also opens up opportunities for travelers heading to the west coast of the United States from New York and London as well.

“Relocation is usually planned months ahead, and we are prepared with a comprehensive schedule of flights across the US and Europe to support this,” Everett added.

Vicuna Air prides itself on offering tailored travel experiences for pets, with two service tiers: “Furs Class” for direct travel alongside owners and “Biscuit Class” for independently traveling pets.
