Dior's Supply Chain Transformation
Dior has taken a significant step in enhancing its supply chain logistics by integrating advanced technologies from Scandit and Hardis. This collaboration aims to optimize warehouse operations, streamline workflows, and ultimately improve the customer experience by ensuring perfect fulfillment. The latest solutions include the innovative
MatrixScan Count technology, which has been embedded into
Hardis's Reflex WMS (Warehouse Management System).
One of the major advancements introduced is the capability for warehouse teams to scan multiple barcodes simultaneously using the
MatrixScan Count feature. This drastically reduces shipping management time by an impressive 85%, allowing employees to prepare customer orders more efficiently through the Dior order preparation application. The captured data is validated within the Hardis WMS, providing immediate feedback via augmented reality (AR), which intuitively guides warehouse operators with gesture-based user interface layouts.
Moreover, another feature,
MatrixScan Find, enhances the order preparation process and in-store price adjustments by using AR overlays to help staff easily locate the correct products. Currently performed manually, this feature's implementation is expected to improve the speed and accuracy of workflows for store employees significantly.
By incorporating Scandit and Hardis WMS into handheld devices, warehouse operators can now automate various workflows, including stock intake, using existing devices. Scandit's advanced barcode scanning technology, powered by artificial intelligence, allows for the accurate reading of damaged, poorly printed, or partially obscured barcodes, thereby boosting productivity and streamlining day-to-day operations.
Insights from the Leaders
Samuel Mueller, CEO and co-founder of Scandit, expressed, “Dior's vision illustrates how Smart Data Capture can transform logistics. The partnership between Dior and Hardis Supply Chain exemplifies how to enhance on-site operations with real-time insights while reinforcing traditional business processes without adding new hardware.”
Florent Boizard, General Manager of Hardis Supply Chain, added, “Integrating innovative technologies like Scandit helps us improve both performance and user experience. This project with Dior is a prime example of how our technology partnership supports operational excellence for renowned clients.”
Future Plans
The strategic partnership aims to further reduce training periods for new or temporary staff during peak times, ensuring smooth business operations regardless of role or tenure. In addition to implementing
MatrixScan Count for inventory counting, there are plans to roll out the new Scandit solutions across all global distribution centers utilizing Hardis WMS.
