DoGo Power Launches Energy Storage Systems to Stabilize the Grid for Commercial and Utility Projects
DoGo Power Unveils Innovative Grid-Forming Energy Storage Systems
In a groundbreaking move for the energy sector, DoGo Power has launched an impressive lineup of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) aimed at stabilizing the electricity grid. Designed for commercial, industrial, and large-scale utility deployments, this new collection promises to alleviate some of the persistent challenges faced by the industry, including high initial capital expenditure (CAPEX) and complex onsite installations. This development is timely and crucial as it addresses the increasing demand for flexible and reliable energy solutions amid growing environmental regulations.
Key Features of DoGo Power’s ESS
The flagship 10-foot container boasts a substantial capacity of 1.672 MWh, equivalent to six traditional ESS units of 260 kWh each. This configuration includes all necessary components such as a grouping cabinet, network connection box (both grid-tied and off-grid), and isolation transformer. Such integration not only simplifies installation but also reduces initial investment costs by $0.012 per watt-hour, consequently lowering on-site labor costs and project timelines by approximately 5 to 7 days.
Functioning seamlessly as a standalone microgrid, this innovative system supports multiple energy sources and enables a swift transition between grid-connect and island mode in less than 20 milliseconds. Furthermore, it allows facilities to optimize their existing equipment and offers fine-tuned capacity options compatible with third-party inverters, ensuring customized solutions for various operational needs.
Enhanced Mobility and Deployment Flexibility
DoGo Power’s all-in-one ESS design weighs under 22 tons, significantly enhancing the potential sites for project implementation compared to conventional 20-foot containers. This lightweight design enables multiple units to be shipped together in a standard 20-foot shipping container configuration, optimizing shipping costs. For sites with restricted access, the individual 10-foot containers can be transported separately, further simplifying logistics.
The factory commissioning and quick-connect terminals included in the system ease the operational complexity seen in traditional setups. Utilizing a Dynamic C-Rate architecture, operators can deploy a baseline setup that lasts two hours, with the ability to add additional DC supply cabinets as operational needs evolve.
Real-World Impact of DoGo Power’s Solution
DoGo Power recently completed a successful demonstration project for a solar PV ESS in Pagerungan Kecil, Indonesia. Prior to this installation, the local community suffered from unstable power supply and exorbitant electricity costs, paying up to $0.35 per kWh. Since the deployment of this innovative energy storage solution, electricity expenses for over 3,000 local residents have plummeted by 81%. Over its lifecycle, this system is forecasted to generate stable electricity exceeding 26 million kWh, also contributing to a significant reduction in carbon emissions by over 22,000 tons.
DoGo Power's commitment to developing advanced energy storage solutions represents an important step towards sustainable energy practices. As energy demands continue to rise globally, the introduction of ESS designed for efficient grid stability is not only timely but essential.
