Tamkeen and EY MENA Collaborate to Launch Talent Hub in Bahrain, Creating 125 Jobs

At the recent Gateway Gulf 2026 event, an exciting new partnership was formed between the Labour Fund of Bahrain, known as Tamkeen, and EY MENA, a part of Ernst & Young's global network. This collaboration aims to create an EY Talent Hub in the Kingdom of Bahrain, a developmental initiative that promises to generate around 125 job opportunities for local Bahraini citizens over the next three years. As part of this memorandum of understanding (MoU), which was announced on November 2, 2026, Tamkeen and EY MENA will embark on a journey to enhance the professional landscape in Bahrain by equipping its workforce with the requisite skills and experience needed for the future job market.

The EY Talent Hub is envisioned to serve a dual purpose: not only will it support clients based in Bahrain, but it will also extend its services across the broader MENA region. The initiative is particularly targeted at attracting and nurturing Bahraini talent, especially recent graduates and individuals entering the labor market for the first time. The program will run from 2027 to 2029 and will focus on roles in crucial areas such as audit, consulting, tax, strategy, and transactions.

In light of the technological advancements reshaping industries, the hub is designed to provide its trainees with practical experience across a variety of sought-after skills, including artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, digital transformation, and sustainable practices. This approach seeks to align the talents of Bahraini professionals with the ever-evolving needs of local and regional businesses for specialized knowledge in high-growth sectors. One of the key objectives is to enhance the overall competitiveness of Bahraini workers, positioning them as valuable assets in the professional services sector.

Her Excellency Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, emphasized the organization’s ongoing commitment to creating sustainable employment opportunities in sectors poised for growth. She articulated the significance of the MoU with EY in fostering Bahrain's future workforce and enhancing access to quality jobs. This sentiment echoes Tamkeen's mission to empower Bahrainis and facilitate their career development in accordance with the dynamic labor market landscape. The strategic partnership is not just about job creation, but also about instilling advanced skills in the workforce that will ultimately fortify Bahrain's economic standing.

Nader Rahimi, Assurance Partner at EY MENA, further amplified the vision behind this initiative by stressing the necessity of adapting to the rapid changes brought on by new technologies. He commented on the importance of equipping the next generation of professionals with essential skills that will enable them to lead and innovate amidst a well of challenges. This initiative aims to produce decision-makers who will create lasting positive impacts within their communities and contribute to the regional economy’s success.

The creation of the EY Talent Hub is a critical step in realizing Tamkeen's strategic priorities for 2026 and aligning its initiatives with Bahrain's national economic goals. As they work together to expand private sector competitiveness, address labor market needs, and promote innovation, this partnership can be seen as a cornerstone for a sustainable, knowledge-based economy in Bahrain. The initiative represents a significant leap forward in Tamkeen's continued efforts to provide not only quality job opportunities but also to bolster the skills of Bahraini professionals to thrive in the modern workforce. The future looks bright as Bahrain gears up to cultivate an environment rich in talent development and professional success, making it an attractive destination for investments in human capital.
