EC Site Loading Speed Rankings July 2025 - Top 272 Sites Revealed

Overview of the EC Site Loading Speed Rankings (July 2025)

In a recent update, Gaprise Inc., a SaaS trading company based in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, has released the latest e-commerce website loading speed rankings for Japan. These rankings provide valuable insights into the site's performance, which is essential for enhancing consumer experience in the digital marketplace.

Methodology of the Study

The research was conducted using data from July 2025 and focused on the top 300 e-commerce companies as reported by the通販新聞社, specifically selecting those with a monthly traffic exceeding 100,000. The evaluation utilized Google's official Chrome User Experience Report dataset to measure the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) for each site, utilizing 4G connections on mobile devices.

What is LCP?

LCP, or Largest Contentful Paint, is one of Google's Core Web Vitals, measuring the time it takes for the main content of a page to be displayed after a user navigates to the site. A lower LCP indicates that users experience faster loading times, which significantly enhances their interaction with the website. Google states that an LCP within 2.5 seconds is considered good, whereas values exceeding 4 seconds indicate poor performance. Interestingly, case studies—such as one conducted by Renault—have demonstrated that optimizing LCP can decrease to under 1 second, improving user experience dramatically.

Key Findings from the Rankings

Top 10 Sites Achieving Outstanding LCP

A noteworthy aspect of this study is that all the websites in the top 10 achieved an LCP of 1.2 seconds or less. Leading this impressive performance is Murauchi.com, followed closely by AmiAmi Online Shop and BAYCREW’S STORE, which highlight the commitment to providing a swift user experience.

General Performance Trends

Among the 272 evaluated sites, around 72% (196 sites) succeeded in achieving an LCP within 2.5 seconds. This indicates a widespread recognition among e-commerce sites of the necessity to improve loading speeds actively.

In this latest update for July, three companies—United Arrows, Belluna, and Daytona International—which adopted the Speed Kit through Gaprise, have reached the Google-standard LCP benchmark of 2.5 seconds or less. Notably, Belluna has made a significant leap in the rankings, jumping from 223rd to 156th place, thanks to its recent implementation.

Top 5 Companies Excelling with Core Web Vitals' New Metric INP

The stable presence of the top 5 companies also remains unchanged this month, showcasing a solid commitment to high interaction performance and stress-free user experiences. The Interaction to Next Paint (INP) metric evaluates the responsiveness of web pages to user actions, providing a comprehensive view of overall website performance when analyzed alongside LCP. When assessing site performance improvements, it's critical to consider all Core Web Vitals metrics, including both INP and LCP.

The enhancements seen across various companies can be attributed to several strategic initiatives, including:
  • - Optimization of JavaScript execution
  • - Streamlining of event handlers
  • - Improving rendering performance

These continuous improvements underscore the importance of adopting new technologies and refining both LCP and INP performance metrics.
