Empowering Women for Innovation: A Meet Up on D&I Strategies at LIXIL



On July 2, 2026, the Pasona Square in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, will be the venue for a significant event aimed at advancing women's roles in the corporate sector. Organized by Pasona, the Meet Up is designed for HR leaders and diversity and inclusion (D&I) advocates, focusing on how companies can innovate through the empowerment of women in management roles.

As we mark four decades since the Equal Employment Opportunity Act and a decade since the enactment of the Act on the Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, there has been progress in D&I initiatives. However, challenges remain, particularly in increasing the proportion of women in management and fostering a culture that utilizes these initiatives effectively.

In recent years, women’s participation has come to be viewed not just as a numerical target but as an integral part of corporate strategy—one that can significantly drive innovation and enhance competitiveness. This event will bring together industry leaders to discuss their experiences and strategies for effectively implementing D&I within their organizations.

Among the speakers is Tatsuwo Nakai, the Executive Officer and Japan HR General Affairs Leader at LIXIL Corporation. He will provide insights into LIXIL's D&I initiatives and the relationship between fostering innovation and transforming organizational culture based on employee feedback. Additionally, Junko Iwashita, Executive Officer at Pasona, will share her expertise on the aspirations and values that professional women seek when choosing employers, along with actionable recruitment strategies that can create a desirable workplace for female leaders.

The event is structured in two parts. The first session will involve presentations focusing on D&I as a business strategy and its importance in driving innovation. The concluding segment will facilitate networking among attendees, providing a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences concerning common challenges and initiatives in promoting women’s leadership and D&I efforts.
