Cousins Maine Lobster Expands to Wisconsin
Cousins Maine Lobster (CML), the renowned fast-casual lobster roll franchise, is excited to announce the opening of its inaugural food truck in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Set to commence operations on
June 14, this mobile kitchen will introduce local food lovers to the exquisite taste of authentic Maine lobster along with a selection of signature seafood dishes.
This exciting venture is spearheaded by local entrepreneurs
Chris Goeman and
Kevin Smith, both of whom bring a robust background in business to the table. Goeman has experience in various sectors including convenience stores and restaurants, while Smith has successfully run businesses in Arizona. Their inspiration for launching Cousins Maine Lobster in Milwaukee came from witnessing the enthusiasm surrounding the Chicago food truck.
“The buzz has been building for months, from local events to social media. We’re excited to finally bring Cousins Maine Lobster to Milwaukee,” says Smith.
“We aim to build strong relationships with our guests and become a staple in the community.”
The grand opening will take place at
Woodman's Market, 8131 S. Howell Ave., Oak Creek, from
10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Patrons can look forward to indulging in CML’s world-renowned lobster rolls, New England clam chowder, and lobster tots, along with a limited-time delight: the
Pink Lemonade Whoopie Pie, perfect for summer.
Looking ahead, Goeman and Smith plan to expand their operations into
Madison in 2026 and
Green Bay in 2027, with ambitions to establish a fourth truck traveling across the state by
2028. This expansion reflects their commitment to bringing quality seafood offerings to Wisconsin in multiple locations.
Lindsay Herberger, the Director of Franchise Development at CML, emphasized the significance of this new chapter.
“Opening a truck in Wisconsin is a major milestone for Cousins Maine Lobster. We’re thrilled to collaborate with passionate partners like Chris and Kevin, who have deep local roots and are focused on contributing positively to the community.”
