The company dispatched its system engineers to assist municipal staff in leveraging the no-code business improvement platform, kintone, developed by Cybozu. The technical support provided spans from design to implementation, enabling municipal staff to independently create and manage applications, thereby enhancing operational efficiency. This collaboration not only boosts the immediate capabilities of the city’s employees but also lays the groundwork for sustainable IT utilization within the local government. Such impactful engagements have led to M-SOLUTIONS receiving commendations for its ongoing efforts.

M-SOLUTIONS' Ongoing Initiatives in Asahikawa

Since 2014, M-SOLUTIONS has been enhancing its relationship with Asahikawa City. The establishment of the Asahikawa Development Center in April 2016, with support from the Economic Tourism Department (currently the Economic Department), signified a deeper commitment beyond merely operational setup. The center serves as a hub for collaborative research with Asahikawa National College of Technology and promotes local employment, especially for returnees to the region. Through active engagement in events focused on kintone, the partnership has been strengthened further into 2023. Since the 2022 fiscal year, Asahikawa City has embraced the use of low-code and no-code tools for business improvement and enhanced citizen services. The total number of created applications has surpassed 4,000, with 320 applications currently in full operation. Looking ahead, there are plans to significantly increase the number of accounts by Fiscal Year 2028 to meet the growing demand for shared applications across all city departments. The initial deployment of the corporate hometown tax donation system resulted in accelerated development of business applications, yielding substantial improvements in operational efficiency. Thus, Asahikawa City has decided to extend its collaboration with M-SOLUTIONS for another year, leveraging its expertise for enhanced service delivery.

M-SOLUTIONS’ Efforts in Supporting Digitalization for Municipal Operations

Starting in 2023, M-SOLUTIONS has promoted the digitalization of municipal operations through its product, “Smart at Kaijo DX,” using kintone. Over the past three years, the company has assisted 31 municipalities in digitizing 68 services, encouraging the use of AI by municipal staff to further streamline operations. The introduction of the kintone × AI integration service, “Smart at AI,” is empowering municipal employees to enhance their business applications, further supporting operational efficiency.
