Valens Semiconductor Reports Strong Second Quarter 2026 Results

Valens Semiconductor Ltd. (NYSE: VLN), a leading player in high-performance connectivity chipsets, has announced impressive financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The company reported a revenue of $18.1 million, surpassing its guidance range of $17.2-$17.6 million, marking a notable increase from $16.9 million in Q1 2026 and $17.1 million in Q2 2025.

The CEO, Yoram Salinger, expressed satisfaction with the company's performance, highlighting its continued customer demand and the effective execution across various business fronts. He noted that their Audio-Video segment remains a crucial part of their operations, while their Automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) design programs are making significant progress towards production.

Financial Highlights

During Q2 2026, Valens achieved a gross margin of 61.5% (GAAP) and 64.3% (non-GAAP). The company's revenue split was approximately 70% from cross-industry business (CIB) and 30% from automotive. While CIB revenue reached $13.1 million, automotive revenue was about $5.0 million.

Despite these strong revenue figures, Valens reported a net loss of ($8.1) million, slightly less than the previous quarter’s loss. The adjusted EBITDA loss was reported at ($4.2) million, which is an improvement compared to prior expectations.

The financial health of Valens can be seen in their cash, cash equivalents, and short-term deposits totaling $83.4 million as of June 30, 2026. This is a decrease from $86.1 million at the end of Q1 but still positions the company well for ongoing operations and growth initiatives.

Business Advancements

Among its achievements during the quarter, Valens saw critical selections of its technologies with Barco selecting their HDBaseT chipsets for the new ClickShare USB-C Extension over CAT kit. They showcased their advanced chipsets at the InfoComm trade show, which generated new engagements and sales opportunities.

In addition to new product offerings, Valens has made significant personnel changes, welcoming Karine Pinto-Flomenboim as CFO and Dean Martin as the head of the automotive business unit, both aimed at strengthening operational and strategic capabilities moving forward.

Future Outlook

Looking ahead, Valens has raised its full-year revenue guidance for 2026 to between $78.0 million and $81.0 million. This projection reflects a confident forecast, driven by strong demand across multiple sectors and ongoing advancements in their automotive solutions, with revenue expected to ramp up significantly in 2027.

In summary, Valens Semiconductor is well-positioned for ongoing success and growth, backed by robust revenue performance in Q2 2026 and a clear strategic roadmap for the future in high-performance connectivity solutions across its core segments.
