Chanson International Holding Reports First Half Fiscal Year 2026 Results with Improved Profitability

Chanson International Holding Reports First Half Fiscal Year 2026 Results

Chanson International Holding (Nasdaq: CHSN) has revealed its unaudited financial results for the first half of the fiscal year 2026, which ended on June 30, showcasing a series of notable improvements in their business operations. Operating from both China and the United States, Chanson offers a range of bakery, seasonal, and beverage products through its extensive chain of stores.

Mr. Gang Li, the Chairman and CEO of Chanson, highlighted that the company remained focused on operational resilience and disciplined execution in a challenging consumer environment. "In the first half of fiscal year 2026, we improved our gross margin to 47.7% and returned to profitability with a net income of $0.8 million," stated Li. This signifies a substantial turnaround from a net loss reported for the same period in the previous year.

Financial Highlights

During this semi-annual period, Chanson reported total revenues of $8.3 million, slightly down from $8.7 million in the previous year, reflecting 4.5% decreases primarily attributed to store performance in the United States. Nonetheless, gross profit increased to $4.0 million, which is an increase from $3.9 million last year, demonstrating effective expense management and operational optimization efforts.

A crucial factor impacting this year's performance was a significant reduction in expenses, especially in the general and administrative category, which plummeted by 33.7% to $1.5 million. This was due to the absence of a previously reported bad debt expense. Additionally, Chanson reported a gross margin improvement of 3.2 percentage points.

In terms of cash position, Chanson solidified its financial footing with cash and cash equivalents rising to $20 million from $8.6 million at the end of 2025. This enhancement grants them greater flexibility for operations and future growth initiatives.

Performance Breakdown

The operational breakdown revealed mixed results between the two primary markets. Revenue from Chanson's stores in China was relatively stable, with a slight increase of $0.03 million. The growth in revenue was driven by bakery products, which yielded sales of $7.3 million, a 2.5% increase from last year's $7.2 million. However, the competitive landscape remains tough due to a shift in consumer behavior towards online shopping, which has intensified market competition amidst a recovering yet cautious economy.

Conversely, revenue from the United States market saw a sharp decline, plummeting 46.7% to $0.5 million, driven particularly by a stark decrease in bakery product sales and a reduction in eat-in and beverage services. Notably, Chanson's operations at various locations were curtailed due to rising competition, prompting strategic management changes.

Future Outlook

Looking towards the second half of fiscal year 2026, Chanson aims to maintain its focus on optimizing product offerings and enhancing customer engagement strategies, while carefully managing costs. The company sees growth opportunities in its target markets and plans to continue enhancing its operational efficiencies. Li expressed confidence that these endeavors will foster sustainable long-term value for shareholders.

Chanson International Holding is headquartered in Urumqi, China, and operates multiple stores across China and New York. Its business model focuses on both digital platforms and on-site sales, serving a diverse array of bakery and beverage products. As it moves forward, Chanson remains dedicated to innovating its product line to meet the evolving needs of consumers.

For investors and market observers, Chanson represents a brand actively adjusting to market pressures while striving towards profitability, positioning itself for potential growth amid a challenging retail climate.
