New Visions for the Future: The 4th China-CEEC Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair



On May 22, 2025, the city of Ningbo in Zhejiang province witnessed the grand opening of the 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair. Under the theme 'New Visions for the Future', this prominent event has attracted over 15,000 professionals from 72 countries and regions, projecting import purchasing intentions from CEEC countries to exceed 10 billion yuan.

Extensive Exhibition Space


The expo's expansive exhibition space covers 80,000 square meters, divided into two main sections: the CEEC exhibition area and the export consumer goods area. The CEEC section, spanning 20,000 square meters, hosts more than 400 exhibitors showcasing over 8,000 unique products. Attendees can explore offerings such as Czech beer, Slovenian honey, Hungarian down, and Slovenian ski equipment, highlighting the rich diversity of products from the region.

In contrast, the export consumer goods area features upwards of 1,000 Chinese companies presenting high-quality products, including innovative consumer goods and smart technologies. This setup aims to provide international buyers with an immersive technological showcase, solidifying Ningbo's position as a vital hub for international trade.

Networking and Collaboration Opportunities


During the fair, various events will take place, such as business matchmaking activities and intergovernmental exchange events. Notable conferences include the joint China-CEEC Chamber of Commerce meeting and the 7th China-CEEC Dialogue on customs, inspection, and quarantine cooperation. These initiatives aim to deepen rule harmonization and enhance trade collaborations.

Moreover, the China-CEEC Mayors Forum 2025 will focus on brainstorming a new urban governance paradigm, while the International China-Central and Eastern European Regatta will promote exchanges between people of different cultures. To engage the public more interactively, the PECO product shopping festival 'Hi-Go' will be held in a hybrid format, both online and offline.

This year, Slovenia and Slovakia are the guest countries of honor, showcasing their commitment to fostering relationships with China. Besides the full participation of all 14 CEEC countries, exhibitors from nine additional nations—such as the UK, France, and Germany—will be participating in the expo for the first time.

In addition to trade associations, renowned institutions like the World Bank and the EU Chamber of Commerce in China have been invited to contribute to this pivotal event. Prestigious companies including Sanofi, Novartis, and Morgan Stanley are also represented, further emphasizing the expo's global significance.
