The Spectacular Debut of the New Bentley Super Sports at FAT Ice Race in Big Sky, Montana

On March 2, 2026, Bentley Motors revealed its latest Super Sports model in the United States at the inaugural FAT Ice Race held in Big Sky, Montana. This exciting event came to fruition through a new partnership between Bentley and FAT International. The model's launch was particularly noteworthy as the Super Sports was already sold out by the time of the event.

The star of Bentley's showcase was the vehicle featured in the upcoming film "Supersports: FULL SEND," where renowned stunt driver Travis Pastrana hit speeds of approximately 160 km/h on the track located at Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, UK. At the wheel in Montana was professional racing driver Leah Block, who previously paired with Bentley to display her remarkable driving skills in the film "Spur of the Moment." During both days of the event, Block demonstrated dynamic maneuvers on the icy track, with one key adaptation from the previous filming: the tires were fitted with 2.5mm studs to enhance traction.

The specially designed ice track featured not only the Super Sports but also Bentley's bespoke and coach-built division, Mulliner, showcasing the exceptional "Speed Six Continuation Series 'Factory Works.'" This stunning vehicle sported a unique Bedford Grey color with an Oxblood leather interior, adorned with a laser-etched signature from the team behind its creation on the floorboard. Mike Sayer, head of the Bentley Heritage Collection, took the wheel to demonstrate the allure of this pre-war model's second iteration in the Continuation Series.

Additionally, the recently unveiled "Bentayga X Concept" made its U.S. debut at the event, presenting a vision of the future Bentayga focused on off-road capabilities. This concept vehicle is based on the Bentayga Speed and houses a powerful 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine generating 650 PS, featuring full-time all-wheel drive and an eight-speed transmission. Further enhancing its performance and stability are its air suspension and Bentley's own 48V electric active anti-roll control system, called Bentley Dynamic Ride.

The "Bentayga X Concept" is equipped with striking 22-inch forged one-piece wheels (manufactured by Brixton) and large off-road tires, significantly boosting its stance and presence. The vehicle's track width is expanded by 120mm, and its ride height is elevated by 55mm, maximizing suspension travel and ground clearance. The result is an impressive wading depth of over 550mm and a ground clearance of approximately 310mm.

The exterior is designed with practicalities in mind, featuring a roof designed for storage and accommodating four spotlights for extended off-road adventures. As a testament to its additional carrying capacity, the vehicle showcased an electric "Bambino" size go-kart commonly used in the FAT Karting League on its roof, bringing the total height of the "Bentayga X Concept" to an imposing 2.49m.

In the rear, an Akrapovic titanium sports exhaust system enhances performance while twin towing eyes are added to the front. Both the "Bentayga X Concept" and the "Speed Six" made appearances prior to the event throughout downtown Big Sky, participating in the "Cars & Coffee" event hosted by FAT International, which celebrated car culture and attracted numerous attendees.

This visit marks Bentley's second trip to Big Sky in the past nine months, having previously hosted a global media drive for the new Bentayga Speed in June 2025. The base vehicle for the "Bentayga X Concept" was the same Bentayga Speed that took part in that earlier event, thus establishing a special connection to the area.

The partnership between Bentley and FAT International is set to continue, with plans for special events to be held at FAT International's headquarters, "Mankei," located at the scenic Grossglockner Pass in Austria. Such collaborations further solidify Bentley's commitment to engaging with its audience through spectacular showcases of performance and luxury, all while setting the stage for an adventurous future in automotive design and innovation.
