Ausiás Parejo, the young Spanish virtuoso, announces his much-anticipated return to Japan for two solo recitals in May 2026. Already a sensation at just 20 years old, Parejo has captured international attention with his brilliant technique and expressive performances.

Ota Citizens Plaza in Tokyo, followed by another on
May 8 at the

Ausiás Parejo is no stranger to accolades, having celebrated his 20th birthday in December 2025. His journey so far includes a remarkable line-up of achievements that affirm his position as a leading figure in the world of classical guitar. In 2023, he secured first place at the
41st Spanish Guitar Music Competition and left a lasting impression on Japanese audiences with his powerful performance of the
Concierto de Aranjuez.
The young guitarist also triumphed in the
66th Tokyo International Guitar Competition in 2024, and his recent nomination for a
Latin Grammy for 'Best Classical Album' has solidified his status as an emerging star. Alongside numerous other prestigious international competition victories, he has received accolades in over 40 competitions across Europe, breaking new ground while respecting traditional guitar techniques.

About Ausiás Parejo
Born in 2006 in Valencia, Spain,
Ausiás Parejo began playing the guitar at the tender age of four under the tutelage of his father, renowned guitarist
Rubén Parejo. He has achieved over
40 first-place finishes in various competitions as he hones his craft, currently studying at the
Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory. Parejo has made waves worldwide, appearing at prestigious festivals in countries such as the United States and Japan. His enchanting performances with orchestras like the Valencia Symphony Orchestra and the Kanazawa Ensemble are praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth.
His debut CD,
Con Tanta Tenerezza, was released in 2018, followed by his album
Spanish and Latin American Guitar Music through the acclaimed Naxos label in 2024, which earned a nomination for the Latin Grammy's Best Classical Album. Parejo's exceptional artistry and maturity in performance have led critics to call him a 'young master.'
In December 2025, he completed a successful national tour in Japan, celebrating his win at the Tokyo International Guitar Competition.
