Revolutionizing EV Charging: SINEXCEL and Phoenix Contact Unveil 1280kW MCS at Power2Drive

Transforming Heavy-Duty Electric Vehicle Charging

At the Power2Drive Europe exhibition, SINEXCEL, a global leader in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, showcased their revolutionary charging solution— the 1280kW distributed charging system. This advanced technology is poised to redefine the standards for heavy-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging, offering versatile solutions tailored for various charging scenarios ranging from high-performance megawatt charging to overnight battery replenishment.

The 1280kW Distributed Charger: New Standards in Efficiency

The 1280kW distributed charger is underpinned by four key pillars of charging: rapid, efficient, convenient, and economical. This innovation is meant to significantly enhance the charging experience for heavy-duty electric trucks, optimizing operations at various locations such as highways, depots, and ports. With customizable charging cabinets including MCS, CCS, and suspended charging stands, the system is designed for flexible installation to meet operational demands effectively.

One of the most striking features of each powerbank is its ability to support up to 16 connectors, delivering a formidable capacity of 1280kW with flexible power allocation. Enabled by cutting-edge SiC MOSFET technology, the system achieves an impressive efficiency rate of 96.2%, maximizing local resource utilization and performance.

Future-Ready Design and Architecture

The hardware and architectural design of the charging system emphasizes ease of use and cost efficiency, preparing it for future scalability. It supports expanded capacity and is compatible with solar energy storage solutions, a crucial aspect in reducing grid load. This advancement signifies a commitment to more sustainable and efficient charging practices.

Partnership with Phoenix Contact: Elevating EV Charging
