404 Not Found's One-Year Anniversary Celebration

As summer unfolds, 404 Not Found, a creative hub that opened last year at Shibuya Sakura Stage, is all set to celebrate its first anniversary with two exciting events that embody the spirit of creativity and summer.

Founded on the concept of a 'vacant lot in the heart of Shibuya', 404 Not Found has become a melting pot for creators from various fields, including gaming, fashion, music, art, and food. Since its grand opening on July 25, 2022, over 120 events have taken place including exhibitions, workshops, and talk sessions, attracting around 200 members to the CLAN community. This vibrant space allows for both online and offline interactions, fostering collaboration and creativity among its members.

Among the staple attractions are the '404 Game Center', featuring indie games produced by independent developers, an analog gaming corner, a custom upcycling shop by fashion designers, and a communal dining space that serves as a hub for creators. As 404 Not Found enters its second year, it invites everyone to explore its unique offerings with two special events that highlight both summer fun and the essence of the space.

Neon Wonderland: Welcome to 404 NEO NEON-GAI

The first event, titled 404 NEO NEON-GAI, is a vibrant display of neon art designed by renowned neon artist Harawata Chunko and other talented creators. Visitors will navigate through a mesmerizing 'Neon Street' that connects 404 Not Found with its surrounding areas, creating an ethereal ambiance reminiscent of a summer night market. Utilizing traditional craftsmanship from Aoi Neon Co. in Shizuoka, this event promises a nostalgic yet exciting experience.

The exhibition will feature around 20 intricate neon installations, a number of which will be available for purchase. Additionally, a special sales area for related merchandise and a collaborative drink, the 'Summer Neon Float', will be available at the 404CAFE, complete with a sticker designed by Harawata Chunko as a purchase bonus.

The event runs from July 24 to August 17, 2025, daily from 10 AM to 9 PM, and entry is free.

A Glimpse into the Future: Virtual Festival Experiment Lab

The second event is the Virtual Festival Experiment Lab, which explores the concept of an innovative festival tailored to individuals' creativity. Inspired by the notion of connecting visitors with their hidden creative talents, various engaging booths will provide fun activities suitable for all ages. From 'Goldfish Scooping with Music Creation' to 'Mask Design with Pixel Art' and 'Lucky Draw for Logo Design', this event promises to uncover your creative potential.

Participants will receive a 'Experiment Record Card' upon entry, allowing them to collect stamps for each booth they complete. Those who gather stamps from all booths will be rewarded with discount vouchers for the 404CAFE. This exciting interaction offers a chance for attendees to discover new interests while enjoying a vibrant and creative atmosphere.

Taking place from July 25 to July 27, 2025, from 10 AM to 9 PM, this event does not require prior reservation; participants can enjoy the experience with the order of a drink at 404CAFE, with prices ranging from ¥440 to ¥880.
