Celebrating Sports for Everyone
An exciting event titled
'Sports for Everyone! Umi no Mori Baseball Festival' is set to take place, commemorating the release of the film
'4 Out - Play Ball Again'. This heartwarming film is based on true events surrounding a baseball team comprised of individuals with disabilities. With a rising interest in baseball following the
World Baseball Classic earlier this year, anticipation builds for another significant tournament known as the
World Dream Baseball set to happen in November in Japan.
The venue,
Umi no Mori Water Sports Center, which gained prominence during the
Tokyo 2020 Olympics when it hosted canoeing and rowing events, will transform into a hub of sports and entertainment, welcoming attendees from all walks of life, including children regardless of their physical abilities.
Event Highlights
The day promises a series of thrilling activities, including a special screening of film footage before its official release, along with exclusive programming such as a baseball workshop led by former WBC Japan national team coach
Hirokazu IBA and renowned Japanese baseball player
Alex Ramirez. Participants can register from today and be part of this special celebration!
In addition to the limited sign-up sessions, a range of free-to-join activities will encourage physical engagement and showcase the allure of parasports. We invite everyone to join us!

The application period runs from
July 16 to August 31.
700 spots are available, with a priority of
400 spots for children under the age of 15 accompanied by an adult. Each application can accommodate up to
four individuals, and successful entrants will be notified by
September 7.

Baseball Workshops: Open to all ages, this session led by Iba and Ramirez will allow every participant, including those who have never played before, to enjoy activities like tossing and batting using safe baseballs.
Equipment rental will be provided on-site.

Attraction Experiences: A variety of engaging attractions like
Big Baseball Pinball and a
Batting Game will be available along with parasport experiences and food vendors from
15:00 to 18:00.
Accessibility & Transportation
The Umi no Mori Water Sports Center will offer a
free shuttle bus from
Tokyo Teleport Station from
14:30 to 18:00, departing approximately every 10 minutes, with return service until
20:00. Attendees who prefer to drive can utilize the paid parking available at the venue.
Important Notes
As this is an outdoor event, attendees are advised to stay hydrated and manage their well-being to prevent heat-related issues. The special film screening will not allow any unauthorized recordings or photography.
The event will also share highlights through various media as part of public relations. Weather-related updates or cancellations will be confirmed on the official event site
by noon on the day of the event.
