Turning Pointe Autism Foundation to Host Free Community Play Day for Families in Naperville

The Turning Pointe Autism Foundation (TPAF) in Naperville, Illinois, is excited to announce an upcoming free event designed specifically for families and individuals affected by autism. This Open Play & Support Day will occur on Saturday, May 16, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event aims to foster a nurturing environment where children can freely explore and play while caregivers have access to essential support resources.

In a safe and welcoming atmosphere, children can engage with swings, trampolines, scooters, and crafts, promoting fun alongside movement.

Bianca Frost, the Associate Director of TPAF, highlighted the importance of creating supportive avenues for families. She stated, “This event reflects our commitment to building a community where families feel supported from the very beginning through play, early screening, and clear pathways to resources.” The occupational therapy gym is set to feature various gross motor and sensory options, accommodating different needs and preferences. Children can also engage in games and crafts in communal areas designed to facilitate social interactions.
