From December 26 (Friday) to December 28 (Sunday), 2025, the prestigious Japan Speed Skating Championships will take place at the Nagano Olympic Memorial Arena (M-Wave). This event marks the 93rd edition and will serve as the final selection for the upcoming Milan-Cortina Olympics, which will be held in February 2026. Hosted by Fuji Television, the entire competition will be streamed live on FOD for free, allowing fans across the nation and beyond to cheer for their favorite athletes from the comfort of their homes.

The Japan Speed Skating Championships is the pinnacle of the sport in Japan, designed to crown the best skaters in the country. Following the impressive performance of Japan’s speed skaters at the Beijing Olympics, where multiple medals were clinched, excitement is high as the nation looks to maintain its strong presence on the global stage.
