Major Summer Renovation at Tondemi Heiwajima
The renowned indoor athletic facility,
Tondemi Heiwajima located in Ota, Tokyo, is set to undergo a significant transformation on
July 5, 2025. This revamp aims to provide guests with engaging options for group activities, perfect for families and friends looking to escape the heat or rain. The renovated facility will feature an exciting new area dubbed the
Tondemi Party Area, showcasing four innovative activities, among which three are making their debut in Japan.
New Interactive Activities
The updates include:
1.
Trap Floor: This AR-powered activity allows up to six players to engage simultaneously. Participants must maneuver carefully across a projected floor that appears to crumble beneath them as they strive to collect stars, all while avoiding falling. The player who collects the most stars emerges victorious!
2.
Laser Touch: In this cooperative game, seven players must navigate quickly while avoiding increasingly faster lasers. They must touch buttons scattered around while keeping each other safe from falling—teamwork is essential to achieve a perfect score!
3.
Derby Day: A competitive ball game where up to four players roll balls into various holes to earn points—each successful shot boosts the speed of a racing horse. The objective is to score as many points as possible and secure a win!
4.
Choi-Toru!: This unique
mole whacking activity allows up to six players to take part in a frantic chase to snatch balls. One team will take on the moles, dodging blows while they grab the balls; the other team must attempt to whack them before they can escape with the loot.
Aims for All Ages
Tondemi Heiwajima's renovation focuses on creating a multi-faceted environment where individuals, families, and groups can enjoy themselves regardless of the weather. The facility hopes to attract many visitors, especially on hot summer days and rainy afternoons.
