Crossroads Enhances Addiction Treatment Access Through Expanded Insurance Partnerships in Arizona

Crossroads Expands Access to Care in Arizona

In a significant move to enhance the accessibility of addiction treatment, Crossroads has announced that its facilities across Arizona will now accept private insurance plans, a first for the organization. This landmark decision aims to improve access to care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders by partnering with major insurance providers, including Aetna, which will now fully cover in-network services.

Additionally, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and Cigna Healthcare will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. This approach allows patients to potentially access out-of-network benefits or receive negotiated approvals, thereby decreasing the financial burden associated with treatment and ensuring that more people can seek the help they need.

Chris Riley, the Executive Director of Crossroads, expressed his enthusiasm about these new partnerships, stating, "Navigating insurance should never be a barrier to getting help." This philosophy is at the heart of Crossroads’ mission, which for over 65 years has been dedicated to providing evidence-based addiction care that genuinely meets the needs of the community.

The introduction of in- and out-of-network options for insurance will not only alleviate financial stress but also foster timely access to necessary medical care, improving follow-up and support for patients. Greg Halvorson, the Director of Operations at Crossroads, emphasized the importance of these collaborations, remarking, "They represent our commitment to helping families find lasting, sustainable recovery within our communities."

Crossroads offers a wide range of client-centered treatment programs that cater to various stages of recovery, which include residential, outpatient, and transitional services. Each program is designed to support the whole person—emotionally and physically—helping them reclaim their lives and reintegrate into their communities with renewed confidence.

Crossroads operates as a licensed residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment program under the Arizona Department of Health Services. With a proven track record, the organization specializes in serving addicted individuals, including men, women, and veterans, through the implementation of high-quality and affordable treatment programs. This commitment continues to position Crossroads as the largest residential treatment facility in the Southwestern United States.
