Exploring Tokyo's Creative Pulse at the 2026 Creative Salon Event

TOKYO CREATIVE SALON 2026: A Celebration of Creativity

The much-anticipated TOKYO CREATIVE SALON 2026 (TCS 2026) kicked off on March 13, 2026, transforming the Harajuku area into a vibrant hub of creativity and innovation. This event is one of Japan's largest festivals celebrating creativity, showcasing an array of dynamic content throughout the streets of this iconic neighborhood, where street culture thrives and evolves.

In the bustling heart of Ura-Harajuku, the Ura-Hara Fes, organized by the Harajuku Jingumae Shopping Association, takes center stage. This street runway event aims to rejuvenate the Ura-Hara boom, introducing fresh talents alongside established creators, effectively intertwining the past and present of this dynamic cultural scene. With an eye on the future, this festival aims to refresh and update Harajuku's unique culture.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the URAHARA Fes.2026 FUTURE VINTAGE, held on March 15. Continuing a tradition established in 2022, the street runway brought an exciting new angle to the TCS 2026 celebrations. Participants were invited to engage with and witness the evolution of Ura-Harajuku, showcasing talent and creativity in an exciting, collaborative atmosphere.

Additionally, from March 14 to March 15, the HARAJUKU MUSIC FES, produced by BEAMS, further showcased the artistic essence of this area. Featuring a mix of live performances and DJ sets, this music festival was designed to blend fashion, music, and art into a unique Harajuku experience. This event proved to be a perfect embodiment of the local culture, offering attendees a feast of eclectic sounds and visual experiences.

As visitors wander through the Harajuku streets, they will encounter numerous creative installations and engaging activities that reflect the area's distinct fusion of style and cultural expression. The culmination of various artistic disciplines at this salon underlines Tokyo’s position as a global hub for creativity.

In an exciting collaborative initiative, Blue Marble and Nikken Sekkei PYNT will host a special interactive project titled “A Day of Cheers Across the City” from March 20 to March 22. Attendees will have the opportunity to share moments of joy and celebration through communal toastings, scheduled throughout the day at Omohara no Mori on the 6th floor of the Tokyu Plaza Omotesando.

All these events contribute towards the overarching theme of TOKYO CREATIVE SALON 2026, which aims to broadcast Tokyo’s creative prowess to the world. The festival will run until March 22, 2026, extending an invitation to everyone to explore the reimagined Harajuku, where fashion and culture seamlessly intersect.

With free admission to all events, TCS 2026 promises to deliver unforgettable experiences and showcases, welcoming thousands of local and international visitors to immerse themselves in the ingenuity of Tokyo’s artistic community.
