Innovative Short Drama Project Promotes Clean Environment in Portable Toilets

Clean Environment Initiative by Hamanetsu

Hamanetsu, a company based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, specializing in manufacturing and selling outdoor units and disaster supplies, is launching an innovative project aimed at promoting a cleaner environment for portable toilets. This initiative, known as the "Clean Toilet Improvement Committee," seeks to elevate awareness about the cleanliness of portable toilets and enhance comfort for users, providers, and all involved.

Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Taisuke Kadota, this project features a series of eight short dramas, which will be released starting March 3. The overarching message is encapsulated in the phrase, "Cleanliness translates to value." The portable toilets provided at construction sites and events function on a circular model: they are collected after use, sanitized, and then offered for use in different locations.

The Clean Toilet Improvement Committee celebrates the professionals engaged in cleaning these toilets, honoring them as "masters" who contribute to the value of cleanliness through their efforts. The campaign utilizes social media to distribute user-centered narratives that tell the stories of those interacting with portable toilets. This strategy aims to inform industry stakeholders that users desire comfort in their restroom experiences and to help society, especially younger generations, recognize the significance of clean portable toilets and those who maintain them.

While the task of cleaning portable toilets can be challenging, having clean restrooms significantly enhances the satisfaction levels of event organizers and attendees. Through collaborations with rental companies, Hamanetsu intends to establish a recognition for cleanliness as an added value. This recognition creates a reciprocation, rewarding those involved in the cleaning process, thus contributing to a positive feedback loop.
