New Leadership at GTIA Board
The Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) has announced exciting changes in its board of directors for the upcoming term of 2025-2026. Taking over the leadership role is
Scott Barlow, who has been named the new chair of the board. Barlow is well-known for his role as chief evangelist and global head of community at Sophos, Inc., and his appointment signals a new era for GTIA, a nonprofit organization that plays a pivotal role in connecting and representing the global IT channel.
A Vision for Change
Barlow, expressing his gratitude and enthusiasm, stated, "I’m truly honored to be elected chair of the board of directors and collaborate with an incredible group of global tech leaders as GTIA enters its next chapter." He emphasized the organization's mission to empower its members with innovative tools and insights, all while focusing on creating a positive impact in communities worldwide. The potential for transformational change under his leadership has sparked excitement throughout the community.
The new governance structure will commence on
May 1, 2025. Barlow replaces
Tracy Pound, the outgoing chair, who has made significant contributions during her tenure and will now assume the role of immediate past chair.
New Faces on the Board
In addition to Barlow, three new members have joined the GTIA board:

Kimberly Penn. Their extensive backgrounds and shared commitment to the GTIA mission are expected to enrich the board’s expertise.
- - Carrie Green, who serves as the senior vice president of operations at Alt-Tech Inc. based in Alberta, has been influential in shaping her company into a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP). Green is recognized for her leadership within the community and was awarded the GTIA North America Community Leadership Award in 2024.

Jason Magee, among others, who will carry on their terms to achieve strategic goals. The infusion of new perspectives alongside seasoned leadership promises to foster a more dynamic and responsive GTIA.
As the new board members gear up for their term, the GTIA's mission remains clear: to foster a sustainable, secure, and profitable business landscape for companies in the ever-evolving technology sector.
