Pokémon Art and Environmental Education Exhibition 4
Tama Art University (TUB) in Setagaya, Tokyo, is set to open its fourth installment of the "Pokémon Art and Environmental Education Exhibition" from March 26 to April 6, 2026, at the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub. This creative showcase invites guests to explore the synergy of art and environmental consciousness, featuring 91 Pokémon sculptures crafted by students from everyday discarded items and materials.
The exhibition will highlight works titled "POKÉMON UPCYCLE SCULPTURE," which emphasize the innovative spirit of sustainability and artistic expression. Following the success of last year's exhibition, this new collection introduces beloved Pokémon characters, including Gengar, Gabite, and Oshawott, expanding the original display showcased in the previous edition. As the concepts of environmental awareness permeate modern society, the exhibition aims to spark conversations on crucial issues like global warming and plastic pollution through art.
In addition to the impressive sculptures, the event will include a unique workshop titled "Create Your Own Monster Ball," inviting both elementary school students and their parents to participate. This hands-on workshop is designed to encourage creativity and foster a positive approach toward environmental issues and artistic expression. Lasting on specific dates, the workshop will allow attendees to form personal connections with their art, enhancing the educational experience within a hands-on and enjoyable format.
Moreover, participants can further engage with the theme of art and sustainability by joining a trash collection initiative, the "Pokémon Pika Pika Group," where they can utilize yellow gloves previously used for cleaning efforts to create their very own
