Depot Connect International Expands Operations in Summerville

On October 14, 2025, Depot Connect International (DCI) celebrated the grand opening of its new facility located at 428 High Country Drive, Summerville, South Carolina. This expansive and modern facility significantly enhances DCI's capabilities to offer integrated depot services, including tank washing, maintenance, and logistics, to both regional and national customers.

Strategically positioned near the Port of Charleston, one of the fastest-growing container ports in the United States, DCI's new location aims to strengthen the company's operational efficiency and service delivery. This development marks a critical milestone in DCI's expansion efforts, aligning with its 'ONE DCI' branding initiative which seeks to unify its 190 global locations under a single identity. The State-of-the-art facilities span 20 acres and are equipped to cater to a comprehensive range of services, including truck tank cleaning, inspections, storage of ISO tanks, and more, thereby creating ample opportunities for local employment and supplier partnerships.

During the opening ceremony, DCI's CEO, Chris Synek, underscored the importance of this initiative for both the company and the community. "This inauguration is more than just the opening of a facility; it signifies our commitment to Summerville and the greater Charleston region," he stated. He acknowledged the invaluable collaboration and support from local authorities, including the Charleston Port Authority and the Summerville Chamber of Commerce.

Indeed, Rita Berry, the President and CEO of the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce, expressed enthusiasm about DCI's presence, highlighting the influx of new services and the potential for exciting partnerships within the local business ecosystem. The new facility is expected to foster economic growth while making significant contributions to the local community through job creation and improved logistical services.

The significant investment made by DCI not only enhances operational capacity but is also anticipated to strengthen the overall supply chain capabilities accessible to businesses utilizing the Port of Charleston. Micah Mallace, President and CEO of South Carolina Ports, remarked, "The expansion of DCI reinforces our commitment to providing robust supply chain solutions and job creation in our region."

In addition to operational improvements, the new DCI facility reinforces the company's dedication to safety and sustainable practices across its operations.
