Key Findings of the Living Satisfaction Rankings


The most satisfying cities to live in, according to the survey, are as follows:

1. Miyazaki City - Moving up from last year's second position to first place, Miyazaki City is the capital and largest city of Miyazaki Prefecture. It is a hub for commercial, administrative, and healthcare services, making it very convenient for residents. With easy access through Miyazaki Station and Miyazaki Airport, travel both within and outside the prefecture is hassle-free. The presence of various shopping facilities, such as Aeon Mall Miyazaki, further enriches the daily living experience of its citizens. The survey was conducted by MacroMill, targeting residents of Miyazaki Prefecture aged 20 and above. A total of 5,706 responses were collected over several years, reflecting diverse opinions across genders, marital statuses, and age groups. The survey collected data from February 10 to March 22 in 2026, and similar surveys were conducted in previous years to build a comprehensive dataset.
