Ginza Tenichi Reopens with New Eat-In Corner at Matsuya Ginza

Ginza Tenichi Reopens in Matsuya Ginza

On August 9, 2025, Ginza Tenichi will unveil its revitalized store located in the basement of Matsuya Ginza, Tokyo. Not only will it continue to offer take-out options of its beloved side dishes and bento, but a new eat-in corner will allow customers to savor freshly prepared tempura right on-site.

A Welcoming Eat-In Experience

The newly added eat-in counter is designed to enhance the dining experience for shoppers and those returning from work. Customers can now enjoy tempura and tendon (tempura rice bowl) within a serene atmosphere, as skilled chefs prepare the dishes right in front of them. The offering includes popular staples such as the "Tendon Bamboo" and a seasonal "Tendon" that varies in ingredients with the time of year.

Additionally, a unique treat exclusive to Matsuya Ginza, the "Matsuya Original Tendon," is making its debut. This special dish features Japanese-grown, specially cultivated rice, paired with the traditional "tendon sauce" that has been handed down since Ginza Tenichi's inception.

A Sweet Tempura Delight

From 2:00 PM onwards, patrons can delight in the exclusive "Deep-Fried Manju Set", made using the famous Shihose Manju from Shioze Sohonke, one of Japan's top three manju makers. This innovative dish merges the traditional sweetness of red bean paste with tempura, creating a captivating accord that tastes even more delightful when complemented with matcha tea.

In efforts to ensure that not only Japanese customers but also international ones have a pleasant experience, the restaurant will provide a multilingual menu, enhancing accessibility for all visitors.
