IMPACT STARTUP SUMMIT 2026

Scheduled for October 7, 2026, the IMPACT STARTUP SUMMIT will be held at the Tokyo Building PIA Theater & Conference in Yaesu, Tokyo. This event, organized by the Impact Startup Association (ISA), aims to tackle social issues while achieving sustainable growth, fostering positive change within society.

Event Overview

The summit will center around the theme of "Public Spirit and Disruptive Innovation", providing a stage for impact startups that have entered the social implementation phase to share their progress. One of the key highlights this year is the introduction of the Impact Startup Pitch and Startup Session, both of which are designed to create collaborative opportunities and facilitate dialogue around various social challenges.

Impact Startup Pitch

The Impact Startup Pitch segment will feature ten selected early-stage impact startups. These startups will present their innovative solutions tackling a range of societal issues, providing a firsthand experience of their entrepreneurial potential through engaging presentations. With a panel of esteemed judges from various affiliated companies, awards will be given, including the Impact Startup Pitch Award and several others, totaling ten accolades to recognize the most outstanding pitches.

Startup Session

The Startup Session will feature prominent figures, including Yasushi Yamaguchi from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Masafumi Komurasaki, the Mayor of Ikoma City, who will engage in discussions with 17 startups on topics such as deep tech, education, healthcare, food, overseas exports, and infrastructure. This creates a platform for sharing insights and strategies that advance societal objectives through collaborative efforts.

The event will start at 11:00 AM and run until 6:00 PM, featuring diverse programs:

• - Startup Session 1: Accelerating Social Implementation of Deep Tech through Public-Private Partnerships (11:30 AM - 12:20 PM)
• - Startup Session 2: Transforming Public Education for Future Generations (12:30 PM - 1:20 PM)
• - Startup Session 3: Promoting Healthcare DX through Public-Private Collaboration (1:30 PM - 2:20 PM)
• - Startup Session 4: Creating Sustainable Food Systems through Startup Collaboration (2:30 PM - 3:20 PM)
• - Startup Session 5: Japan's Deep Tech and Global Expansion (3:30 PM - 4:20 PM)
• - Startup Session 6: Updating Next-Generation Infrastructure and Urban Development (4:30 PM - 5:20 PM)

Led by seasoned moderators and featuring a range of panelists, these sessions will delve into critical discussions aimed at solving pressing issues affecting society today.
