Graphite One Welcomes Lucille Carter as New Vice President for Community Relations

Graphite One Announces New VP for Community Relations

Graphite One Inc., a company known for its commitment to responsible resource development, has recently made a strategic move by appointing Lucille Carter as its new Vice President of Community Relations. This appointment reflects the company's dedication to engaging effectively with local communities while developing its natural graphite resources responsibly.

Ms. Carter expressed her enthusiasm about joining Graphite One, highlighting her admiration for the company’s vision of simultaneous resource development and community respect. In her own words, she stated, "I was drawn to Graphite One because of its commitment to developing a strategic resource in a way that respects local communities and honors the values of responsible stewardship." Her aim is to cultivate collaborative relationships that provide lasting benefits for the state of Alaska, its citizens, and future generations.

Lucille has a deep-rooted connection to the region, having grown up in Nome and Teller, which are near the Graphite Creek deposit. She brings a wealth of experience to the team, having previously served as the Senior Vice President of Regional and Shareholder Services at Bering Strait Native Corporation. Her educational background includes a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Western Governor's University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Alaska.

Anthony Huston, CEO of Graphite One, underscored the importance of Ms. Carter's role: "Lucille will be a great asset to the G1 team and will be able to provide much depth to our community relations efforts. We believe that responsible development is rooted in open and ongoing communication with the communities closest to our project." The goal is not only to inform but to engage and involve local communities, including Teller, Brevig Mission, and Mary's Igloo, ensuring their voices are heard throughout the development process.

Online Marketing Initiatives

Alongside this leadership change, Graphite One also announced a new marketing agreement revealing its commitment to increasing brand visibility both in the U.S. and European markets. The company has engaged i2i Marketing Group LLC for a marketing campaign meant to enhance investor awareness. Starting March 1, 2026, this engagement will initially span four months, costing up to $250,000 per month.

This marketing effort is part of a broader strategy to educate potential investors about Graphite One’s project and its implications for the U.S. supply chain, which is currently reliant on imports for natural graphite. By establishing a marketing presence, the company aims to create interest and investment in its vertically integrated approach from mining to manufacturing of high-grade anode materials, specifically aimed at electric vehicle and energy storage markets.

In continuation of its international outreach, Graphite One will also maintain its collaboration with MCS Market Communication Services GmbH to raise the company’s profile among European investors. This contract will entail a similar financial commitment of EUR350,000 per month for four months, perpetuating the company’s goal of enhancing visibility and engagement across borders.

A Vision for Sustainable Development

With these recent appointments and initiatives, Graphite One is taking decisive steps towards establishing a robust domestic supply chain for graphite in the U.S., particularly in light of the country's current reliance on foreign imports. The company is positioning itself as a leader in responsible mining practices while aiming to fulfill an essential role in the expanding electric vehicle market.

With the Graphite Creek deposit recognized as the largest of its kind in the U.S., the organization is poised to revolutionize the domestic supply chain. Graphite One’s long-term strategy includes the development of a manufacturing plant for advanced graphite materials and battery anodes in Warren, Ohio, which underscores its commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency. This initiative is part of Graphite One's circular economy strategy, which also considers the establishment of potential recycling solutions.

In conclusion, Lucille Carter's appointment as Vice President of Community Relations marks a significant advancement in Graphite One’s ongoing efforts to build strong community ties, while its marketing initiatives aim to promote awareness and investment in the essential materials for a sustainable future. As the company continues to grow and adapt, it remains dedicated to responsibly harnessing natural resources in a way that benefits not only the business but also the communities involved.
