Apera AI, a leader in robotic automation powered by 4D Vision technology, has recently completed a significantly oversubscribed Series A financing round. This funding, which includes substantial backing from BDC's investment arm BDC Capital, along with contributions from existing investors such as Lobby Capital, Flying Fish Ventures, and J-Ventures, will bolster Apera's ambitious growth strategy. The firm aims to expand its operations in key sectors such as the international automotive market, Tier 1 suppliers, and general industrial manufacturing.

The announcement comes at an opportune moment, as Apera AI is experiencing nearly threefold revenue growth year-over-year. The company has already established a robust customer base that includes all six major North American automotive OEMs, their Tier 1 suppliers, and more than 100 industrial manufacturers. This impressive growth trajectory reflects the rising demand for advanced robotic automation solutions worldwide.

Aditya Aggarwal, Managing Partner of the Industrial Innovation Venture Fund at BDC Capital, emphasized the importance of investing in hard tech innovations that drive economic expansion. To complement its financial growth, Apera AI has strategically strengthened its executive team by appointing four new leaders: Peter Brouwer as Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Genèse Castonguay as Vice President of Marketing, Joseph Lee as Chief Financial Officer, and Robert St-Jacques as Vice President of People.
