Huawei Unveils AI Data Platform at MWC Barcelona 2026 to Bridge Business Value and Models
Huawei Unveils an Innovative AI Data Platform at MWC Barcelona 2026
During the prestigious Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on March 6, 2026, Huawei introduced its groundbreaking AI data platform. This new platform aims to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence models and real commercial value, an important step in enhancing businesses' adoption of AI technology.
Yuan Yuan, President of Huawei's Data Storage Product Line, delivered a keynote that highlighted the challenges many organizations face as they work to integrate artificial intelligence into their operations. Despite significant advancements in AI, most models remain inadequately integrated into core services, largely focusing on training instead of inference, which is crucial for model adoption.
The Challenges of AI Integration
With the rapid growth of AI, businesses are often confronted with several persistent issues such as AI hallucinations, slow responses, and throughput limitations during inference. To tackle these issues effectively, Huawei has introduced a sophisticated system that enhances data processing capabilities.
The AI data platform employs a structure dubbed “3+1,” which includes:
1. Knowledge Generation and Search: This feature aims to produce high-precision multimodal knowledge for more accurate searches. It effectively transforms multimodal resources into highly precise knowledge and guarantees a search accuracy exceeding 95% through multimodal lossless parsing and token-level encoding.
2. KV Cache for Accelerated Inference: Utilizing historical memory data, this cache significantly expedites inference, employing intelligent layering and KV cache management. Consequently, it shortens the time to the first token (TTFT) by 90%, leading to drastically improved AI response speeds.
3. Memory Extraction and Recall: With a memory management context, it precisely extracts historical data and experiences, converting them into easily retrievable memories. This mechanism boosts the intelligence of usage-based models.
4. Unified Cache Manager (UCM): UCM manages memory data across three cache levels to intelligently schedule knowledge bases, KV caches, and memory banks.
Deployment Modes for Enhanced Flexibility
The Huawei AI data platform provides two distinct operating modes: a device mode for greenfield deployment and an independent mode suitable for evolving deployments. The device mode utilizes the OceanStor A800 system, ensuring optimal performance and scalability, while the independent mode employs an AI data engine architecture integrated with the OceanStor Dorado storage system. This versatility allows additional data engine nodes to be added to existing systems, safeguarding previous investments and ensuring a seamless AI transformation for businesses.
Yuan Yuan emphasized the commitment of Huawei to deepen its technological innovations, stating, “With the AI data platform serving as a bridge, we will convert model capabilities into substantial business value.”
In conclusion, Huawei's strategic introduction of this AI data platform at MWC Barcelona marks a significant milestone in the journey toward effective AI integration into business practices. Companies now have the opportunity to transform their AI frameworks into meaningful commercial outcomes, facilitating a more intelligent and efficient operational future.
