RightMove Health's New CEO, Joe Leinbach, Set to Drive Growth in MSK Care
RightMove Health Appoints Joe Leinbach as CEO
On November 4, 2025, RightMove Health, a prominent player in value-based musculoskeletal (MSK) care, announced the selection of Joe Leinbach as its new Chief Executive Officer. This strategic move is expected to fuel the company’s expansion efforts nationally, particularly in forming partnerships with payers and healthcare providers.
Leinbach's Impressive Background
Joe Leinbach brings more than 15 years of experience in scaling healthcare organizations and is recognized for establishing high-performing, risk-bearing partnerships. His previous role as President and COO of Synapticure saw him expand access to specialty neurology care for those dealing with dementia and neurodegenerative conditions. Leinbach's experience extends to Cityblock Health, where he was General Manager of New Markets, driving full-risk partnerships with health plans across several states. Additionally, his leadership roles at Evolent Health further established his expertise in forging valuable collaborations in healthcare.
RightMove's Innovative Care Model
RightMove Health’s care model, developed in collaboration with the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS)—the preeminent orthopedic hospital worldwide—centers on delivering timely and efficient care for over 95 musculoskeletal conditions. Unlike traditional models, RightMove emphasizes same-day diagnostic triage and seamless navigation between virtual and in-person care. This innovative approach is enhanced by state-of-the-art technology, allowing primary care providers (PCPs), specialists, and physical therapy clinics to engage effectively, improve patient outcomes, and reduce healthcare costs.
A recent study conducted in partnership with a major national health system revealed that RightMove’s approach successfully engaged over 70% of targeted patients—resulting in an average pain reduction of 85%. Moreover, 96% of participants reached their functional goals, showcasing the effectiveness of their care model. Previous research indicated that patients who underwent RightMove's evaluation were 60% less likely to require further imaging, and 80% less likely to opt for surgery, emphasizing their preventive care approach.
Leadership Support and Future Vision
Leinbach’s appointment comes at a pivotal time as RightMove embarks on multi-state partnerships aimed at delivering value-based care. David King, RightMove's co-founder and interim CEO, will remain involved as President and oversee strategic growth and partnership development with healthcare networks. Leinbach reflects on the significance of movement in maintaining both physical and mental wellness, underscoring the urgency of accessible primary care as a foundational element of effective MSK care. He cites misdiagnoses and ineffective treatments as ongoing barriers that RightMove seeks to dismantle through its technology-driven model.
The leadership team has been further strengthened with the addition of specialists like Adrian Thomas, MD, MBA, who brings extensive expertise in MSK value-based initiatives as CMO; Meghan Oliver as COO/CPO, a veteran operator in value-based models; and Harrison Frist as Executive Chair, who has a successful background in scaling national healthcare initiatives.
Frist noted that Leinbach's unique blend of operational expertise and his proven track record in expanding value-based care models positions RightMove for significant growth and success as the premier MSK risk partner for health plans across the country.
