TricorBraun, a leading global packaging company, has officially announced the appointment of Kevin Weadick as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 5, 2025. This significant leadership transition marks the end of an era as Court Carruthers, who has been at the helm for eight successful years, steps into the role of Vice Chairman while remaining on the board to ensure a seamless transition and continued support for the company's future.

In his new position, Weadick will be responsible for overseeing TricorBraun's worldwide operations, reinforcing the strategic vision, and enhancing the company’s focus on innovation and growth. Weadick's extensive experience in managing high-growth companies is anticipated to be essential as TricorBraun seeks to advance its global strategy and customer service initiatives.

Keith Strope, the Executive Chairman of TricorBraun, expressed enthusiasm at welcoming Weadick as CEO, highlighting his track record of success and leadership in driving growth. Weadick joins TricorBraun after a notable tenure as the CEO of FleetPride, one of North America's largest retailers for truck and trailer parts in the aftermarket. He has held multiple leadership roles at Grainger across North America and Europe, with his last position being President of Zoro, a tech-driven supply business catering to small and medium-sized customers. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Weadick started his career with PwC and is originally from Chicago. He will be based in the company’s design and engineering studio located in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Upon accepting his new role, Weadick expressed his excitement about joining TricorBraun at a pivotal moment in the company's evolution. Under his leadership, TricorBraun tripled its revenue and EBITDA, completed 30 acquisitions, expanded into Europe and the Asia-Pacific, and entered new sectors like aluminum cans, industrial containers, and flexible packaging. Carruthers noted that he looks forward to supporting Weadick and the TricorBraun team during this transition.

Natasha Li, a partner at Ares, along with Ashfaq Qadri, Managing Director at Ontario Teachers', acknowledged Carruthers' exceptional leadership and significant impact on the company’s growth and culture.
