Patrick Reeder Takes on Key Leadership Role at Watercrest Senior Living Group
In a significant move that underscores its commitment to operational excellence and high-quality standards, Watercrest Senior Living Group has announced the promotion of Patrick Reeder to the position of Plant Operations Specialist. This appointment aims to bolster the organization’s leadership team as it continues to enhance the living experiences for seniors across its growing community in the Southeast.
Patrick Reeder expressed his enthusiasm about the new role, stating, "It's an honor to join the leadership team at Watercrest, where our team is providing an exceptional experience to everyone we encounter, whether it is a vendor, associate, family member, or our residents." With an unwavering focus on improving the daily lives of seniors, Reeder aims to create meaningful experiences that residents can cherish while fostering an environment they take pride in calling home.
Having joined Watercrest in 2022, Reeder was initially drawn to the organization’s faith-based values and its commitment to serving a higher purpose. He began his journey as the Environmental Services Director at Watercrest Columbia, where he quickly made his mark through direct interaction with seniors and community partners. His dedication demonstrated the mission of Watercrest, which is "to welcome, to care, to serve," all while ensuring excellence in the operational side of the community.
Marc Vorkapich, Principal and CEO of Watercrest Senior Living Group, recognized Reeder's leadership qualities, noting, "Patrick is a well-respected and admired leader who practices servant leadership while encouraging growth and success in his team." He also praised Reeder’s expertise in plant management, which is vital for maintaining the high standards of construction, aesthetics, and daily operations across Watercrest’s distinguished communities.
Reeder's professional journey began in San Francisco, where he continued a family legacy at the renowned Bordenave's French Bakery. His culinary education led him to the senior living sector, where he started as a pastry chef at a newly established Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). His talents soon earned him progression to executive chef, and eventually, he transitioned into plant operations. Reeder’s next steps took him to facility management for the Archdiocese of San Francisco, overseeing major building projects, renovations, and budgeting for extensive facilities.
Reeder eventually relocated to South Carolina in 2022, motivated in part by the desire to be closer to his newly born grandson. Joining the Watercrest family allowed him to leverage his facility operations experience while profoundly impacting the lives of seniors. Watercrest firmly believes that the true value of any organization lies in its people, and Reeder's appointment aligns perfectly with this philosophy. The company’s motto, "Be the Beacon," serves as a call to action for investing in team members' career advancement and fostering an inclusive culture where every associate’s contributions are valued.
