Esaote Unveils Innovative PAM Technology at EAU 2026 for Prostate Imaging

Esaote's Breakthrough at EAU 2026

At the 41st Annual European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress held in London, Esaote Group, an esteemed name in medical imaging, showcased its latest innovation - the Prostate Attention Map (PAM) technology. This groundbreaking advancement is now integrated into the new MyLab™E85 GTS ultrasound system, which was presented alongside the MyLab™C30 GTS ultrasound device.

The introduction of PAM technology is set to revolutionize how urologists approach diagnosis and treatment. This new tool offers automated analysis of prostate multi-parametric MRI volumes, enabling the identification of suspicious areas with enhanced precision. This significant upgrade aims to support urologists in improving their target guidance and clinical decision-making processes.

Marta Daniel, the Guided Therapy Product and Clinical Solutions Manager at Esaote, emphasized the seamless integration of PAM technology within the UroFusion software. This package is particularly tailored for providing focal guidance during targeted biopsies of the prostate. Integrating artificial intelligence into the workflow allows urologists to conduct biopsy examinations with the same duration as a conventional process while simultaneously enhancing their confidence and accuracy during procedures.

At the congress, Esaote is not only unveiling its new technology but also engaging in hands-on sessions that focus on TP Biopsies and MRI-US Fusion. These sessions are led by globally recognized specialists who provide an opportunity for attendees to witness the latest developments within the UroFusion system.

Esaote's exhibit signifies a major advancement in its Guided Therapy Solutions (GTS) line, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering reliable and clinically meaningful imaging solutions. The company aims to empower urologists to achieve superior imaging quality, intuitive usability, and efficient workflows in the field of prostate care.

With its roots as a leader in medical imaging encompassing ultrasound, MRI, and diagnostic process management software, Esaote has firmly established its presence across the globe. As of the end of 2025, Esaote employs around 1,300 people, half of whom work in Italy, where the company has facilities in Genoa and Florence, as well as production and research units in both Italy and the Netherlands.

The rollout of PAM technology at the EAU Congress represents just the latest step in Esaote's ongoing mission to innovate the medical imaging landscape. Their continued focus on enhancing the quality of care provided to patients is clearly illustrated in their latest offerings, promising a future where urological imaging is more precise and effective than ever before.
