MUSASHINO ART UNIVERSITY: Innovating Craft through Art and Technology

Innovate with Art and Technology at Musashino Art University

Musashino Art University, located in Koganei City, Tokyo, invites aspiring creators and professionals to apply for its two-day mini-program titled "VCP for PROTOTYPING". This program aims to equip participants with essential prototyping skills to transform unique ideas into tangible outcomes through creative and critical thinking.

What is the VCP for PROTOTYPING?

The "Value Creation Program" (VCP) is designed to foster innovative mindsets that are not constrained by traditional design or artistic methodologies. Drawing from over 90 years of expertise in shaping education, this program enhances participants' ability to harmonize diverse perspectives and uncover new relationships. By engaging in project-based learning (PBL), attendees will gain insights and methodologies essential to initiating new business ventures or creative projects.

Program Overview

The two-day mini-program will consist of both theoretical and practical exercises:
1. Day One: Participants will engage in lectures and workshops led by faculty members who teach at Musashino. These sessions will include exploratory activities that encourage participants to identify their curiosities and areas of discomfort, ultimately enhancing their creative thinking through an artistic lens.

2. Day Two: Participants will apply their findings to practical prototyping exercises, where they will iterate on ideas and concepts, culminating in a peer-review session to provide feedback and critiques.

Through this immersive experience, you will learn how to bridge art and prototyping, empowering you to materialize imaginative concepts while creating meaningful societal impacts.
