As coffee consumption in daily life continues to rise, the demand for high-quality, flavorful options has increased. Federal to this trend, the Premium Moka showcases rare Ethiopian coffee beans, specifically the highest grade "G1" beans from the Yirgacheffe region, which constitute less than 1% of the total global coffee yield. This allows coffee lovers to enjoy vibrant aromas and fruity acidity that characterize these exceptional beans.

A Two-Year Journey to Perfection


Creating the Premium Moka involved an extensive two-year development process, allowing FamilyMart to perfect the brewing method and recipe. This includes utilizing 1.3 times the normal quantity of beans, and employing a high temperature, short-duration roasting technique to fully express the Moka's delightful aroma. Additionally, the brewing time is extended to optimize the extraction process, ensuring that customers experience the full depth of flavor.

Thanks to a partnership with globally recognized barista Tetsu Kasuya—winner of the World Brewers Cup 2016—the new drinks embody a meticulous selection and roasting process, bridging accessibility with specialty coffee excellence. Customers can now relish a world-class coffee experience conveniently from their local convenience store.

Building on last year's accolades, the Premium Moka and Ice Premium Moka have earned the Quality Gold Award at the 2026 Monde Selection. This recognition highlights the unparalleled quality that FamilyMart aims to provide.
