Tokyo Health Walk 2025: Promoting Colorectal Cancer Awareness
On November 24, 2025, Tokyo will host the much-anticipated
Tokyo Health Walk 2025. This event aims to raise awareness about colorectal cancer, which is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among Tokyo residents—being the second for men and the first for women. Increasing rates of this cancer in individuals 40 and older highlight the importance of early detection and treatment, which boasts a remarkable 90% survival rate if caught early. This year's walk offers participants a chance to engage in moderate physical activity, an effective preventive measure against colorectal cancer.

Why Colorectal Cancer Awareness?
Colorectal cancer stands among the top causes of cancer mortality in Tokyo. Statistics show that engaging in regular physical activities, like walking, can significantly lower the risk of developing this type of cancer. Despite its silent nature, where early-stage symptoms often go unnoticed, the chances of effective treatment are significantly higher with annual screenings.
Encouraging an active lifestyle and regular check-ups is integral to reducing the burden of this disease. To understand more about colorectal cancer and its prevention, numerous resources are available, including informative websites tailored for individuals seeking knowledge and ways to get involved.
Join us at the
Tokyo Health Walk 2025, where taking steps together can lead to a healthier community and raise awareness about the significant impact of colorectal cancer and the importance of screenings and proactive health practices.
