Indulging in Autumn's Bounty at DEK
From October 2 to November 16, 2025, the renowned restaurant "DEK" in Omotesando will host a special afternoon tea that showcases the rich and diverse flavors of autumn, with a focus on sweet potatoes, chestnuts, and pumpkin.
Founded by a century-old produce wholesaler, "DEK" offers a two-level dining experience, but it is the second floor, "DEK DINING," that will host this seasonal culinary event. This afternoon tea theme, titled "Bountiful Autumn Afternoon Tea: Sweet Potatoes, Chestnuts, and Pumpkin," aims to celebrate the essence of autumn in every bite.
A Feast for the Senses
The afternoon tea features a six-tiered stand laden with seven delectable sweets and two savory courses, all masterfully prepared to highlight autumn's best offerings.
Highlights among the sweets include the "Baked Sweet Potato Brulee Tart," which combines rich sweet potato paste layered with mascarpone cream and custard, then caramelized to perfection. Another standout is the "Chestnut Tiramisu," which marries fragrant roasted green tea with house-made chestnuts for a delightful flavor experience. For those who prefer a lighter option, the "Pumpkin Daifuku" offers a gently sweetened pumpkin bean paste wrapped in soft rice cake, making it an ideal end to the meal.
Savory options also take center stage, with the "Penne Gorgonzola with Chestnuts and Mushrooms" showcasing the natural sweetness of chestnuts paired with earthy mushrooms in a creamy Gorgonzola sauce.
To complement the sweets and savories, diners can enjoy a selection of seasonal domestic fruits curated for peak ripeness, served as a platter that showcases the highest quality fruits sourced through expert selection. This dedication to delivering ripe, flavorful produce is a hallmark of the "DEK" experience.
The beverage menu is equally impressive, offering over ten varieties of drinks including classic teas, herbal infusions, and house-made fruit vinegar drinks for a refreshing finish to the meal.
